Wymfest 2000 WymFest2000:
Complete Sellout
Pleases Everyone!

WymFest 2000 got off to a fantastic start yesterday evening with a great set from the McCrankies. At one point there most have been 500 couples dancing the Brown Windsor Two Step. If you can't make it to the Fest then join in the fun at Wymsey Community Radio: WCR. Many villagers used the Parish Notice Board to express their views:

Irene's 2nd cousin [12 Aug]: What great dancers, that Mungo Gerry's tea service set! I'm all out of breath!

Pookah [12 Aug]: Yeah, well, and I had an empty tea cup half the night because you kept dragging the boys over to the dance floor. Hope you tipped them well.

Padua [12 Aug]: Irene de Mandible stole the show with her rendition of "Revolution"! Although I spent the better part of the evening in the Prayer Tent with Rosalie McLain lighting candles to St. Anthony, I did manage to at least hear that part of the de Mandible show. God bless you, young lady.

Eunice Turnipseed [12 Aug]: I thought someone was going to watch that the young folk didn't climb on top of St Duvet's. I saw 'em up there last night dancing away and knocking tiles everywhere. I think Irene went too far this time what with all that rebel-rousing talk/singing she done. There'll be trouble now, ye jest mark me words.

Leslie Smith [12 Aug]: I's having a greet time just comed home to put the kids to bed. Thst Lambs ale is hig octane.

A Young Kid [12 Aug]: Them was poltergisties, misses.

Gordon deStompe [12 Aug]: I took time out to be at Irene's set, mind blowing or what?!

Gipp and Sazz [13 Aug]: Enjoyed the fest man. Hip with the old gal ripping out the jive and snorting the moth balls. The dudes doing the Brown Windsor dragging their feet and getting all that soup over their threads not cool at all. What were the old chicks up to shouting "we've drove one lot out and we'll drive em all out in time" weird, far out man strange........We tried to chill out with a drop of bevvy but it was to heavy for our bread friends. Thankful for the orange box loos, had a spoon of Grannies pigs ears, hurled right up into those soil boxes, great idea man. Ended the scene with a bag of crushed moth balls and crashed out. Fine bash, hope to see you next year. Hee! Wymsey folks someone's just told me them old chicks have made go with the je's, screw this man they'll je getting you to make way with the r's and the g's the h's m's and soon there will be no letters to rap with man. Drive them into the wilderness friends before it's to late.

Leslie Smith [13 Aug]: I's already got a headache without all that alphabet soup stuff, matey. Great stuff! Me, I'm off to feed me pigs then it's Lambs' beer tent for me and the misses.

Irene de Mandible [14 Aug]: Can't believe I'm already home again. Pookah and my 2nd cousin said something about going to see France while they're over there. Hope the Parisians treat them well even though they don't know how to say anything in French but "French fries and steak." My thanks to Wymsey for being utterly hospitable. Such fond memories I'll have of WymFest 2000. Wish I could think of something else to write but I'm a bit tired and the mushroom is silent tonight. No, just went looking around my brain again and there's nothing going on there. Rosalie, you're such a dear. Thanks for lending me a pair of shoes. If someone comes across my hiking boots, will they post them to me? I'm rather fond of them.

Paula Trimble [14 Aug]: What a weekend!! I can't remember such a good time! Irene de Mandible stole the show though. WOW! What a treat!

Rosalie McLain [14 Aug]: You're most welcomed, Irene. I hope you had a pleasant trip back to the states. Remember, ye always have a home here in Wymsey if you ever decide you need a change of place. The Lord loves you and so does Wymsey!

Granny Turnipseed [14 Aug]: Irene, girlie, ye done us proud, ye did!!! Yeehaaaw I sold outta chitlins and den jest set the foots up thar for de takin. I's a groovin and a movin to the beat with Irene. Yeee Hawww! Even old Grandpa got rite frisky afore de weekend wuz over.

John Applegate [15 Aug]: I must concur with the above. It brought back happy memories of my time at Teacher Training College. Happy days!
